Help with traveling between European countries?

My husband and I will be in Europe at the end of June. We are flying into Munich and immediately taking a train to Prague. 4 days later, we're taking a train to Vienna. 2 days later, we're taking a train to Venice. 3 days later, we'll take a train to Florence. And then 3 days later, we'll train back up to Munich, spend the night, and fly out early the next morning. We are having a terrible time trying to figure out the cheapest train options- Eurorail pass, point-to-point, etc- and where to get them. Help please!Help with traveling between European countries?
I would do this as a series of point-to-point tickets. If you go with the Eurail pass, you'll still have to pay supplements on most high speed or night trains. For checking the schedules throughout Europe, a good option is the German train website: http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.e鈥?/a> You can book the Munich to Prague leg directly there. The price should be 52.30 to 116 euro per person depending on which specific train(s) you take. Many of the options will require one or more changes en route.

There's information on the czech trains and a link to the schedules here: http://www.myczechrepublic.com/czech-tra鈥?/a>

The Austrian train site is here: http://www.oebb.at/en/

The Italian train site is here: http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html

You can book the Florence to Munich leg here too.

Generally, you don't need to book tickets a long time in advance. You can pretty much count on getting tickets for your onward leg when you arrive at each destination station, but if you're more comfortable having the tickets in hand, there's no disadvantage to doing that. Here in Italy, you would need advance tickets for the period around Easter. The trip to Munich would require advance tickets if you want to travel during Octoberfest. I live along the line between Florence and Munich and take the train to Munich for weekends fairly frequently. You might want to consider the night train from Florence to Munich. It leaves at 9:53 pm and arrives at 6:30 am. You can sleep in a cuchette overnight, save the price of a night in a hotel, and maximize sightseeing time.
Well, you can get the 4-country Select Saver pass for $445, picking Germany, Czechy, Austria, and Italy

An estimate for the separate tickets is:

Munich to Prague $75

Prague to Vienna $ 60

Vienna to Venice $150

Venice to Florence $35

Florence to Munich $150

Those are 2nd class rates, and with the Eurail Selectpass you can travel 1st. A couchette for the night trains is about $27 extra and worth it.

I'd recommend the night trains from Vienna to Venice and from Florence to Munich.

Reserve a day or 2 in advance. Maybe you can reserve couchettes from Munich for the CZ-Italy but surely for the Italy-Germany night trains.Help with traveling between European countries?
While in Berlin on numerous occasions, I've checked the prices of eurorail passes, etc... and found that Easy Jet (if purchased far enough in advance) was cheaper.
I went to STA TRAVEL its a travel agency that can help buy and schedule train tickets without all the hassle it was so convenient when I traveled from Paris to Vienna.
unless you just like the inside of trains i suggest you enjoy the first country you hit and plan another tirp next year....
look at the website below for airlines as a possible option.

It does not sound like you will be travelling enough to warrent a eurorail......I would investigate the actual costs and see if its worth it....also try night trains as it saves on accommoidation and WASTING time going from A to B....I would rather have more time doing and seeing things than be in a train for long periods....as I said look at flights as an option because there are some cheap ones.
