Traveling to Europe after college and looking for advice/ideas?

I am graduating from college in December and plan on traveling through Europe around February for a month or two. I am starting to try and plan where I will go and was wondering if anyone has any advice? I was planning on getting a eurorail pass too so if you know anything about that that would help. I am 23 years old and enjoy partying but also appreciate culture and cool places. Any ideas you think may be enjoyable would be greatly appreciated.Traveling to Europe after college and looking for advice/ideas?
February is a great time to be here in Italy - Carnevale will be running and there are many choices for interesting celebrations in addition to Venice. You might consider Ivrea which has to be seen to be believed: http://www.carnevalediivrea.it/english/b鈥?/a> . Or Cento has an interesting carnevale with exchange groups from Brazil participating here: http://www.carnevalecento.com/index.asp. Another good one is in the beach town Viareggio: http://www.viareggio.ilcarnevale.com/lin鈥?/a> . There are many other possibilities. Verona has the Verona in Love celebration around Valentine's day or you could go to Terni to see the actual St Valentine. Of course, the usual tourist attractions will also be available.

From here, it's pretty easy to get to the rest of Europe using the trains. One thing you need to know about the Eurail pass is that most high speed, international, or night trains will require reservations and an additional fee when you have the pass. See: http://www.eurail.com/eurail-reservation鈥?/a> , http://www.eurail.com/eurail-reservation鈥?/a> , http://www.eurail.com/eurail-reservation鈥?/a> . It is often cheaper to buy individual tickets from the national railroads especially if you can book the tickets in advance to take advantage of available discounts.

There's much more information on this site than there is room to put in this answer: http://www.seat61.com/ This includes a lot of information on travel with passes.
Do you know which countries you wish to visit? If you want to see lots of historical things, I suggest visiting Italy, France, Spain, England, %26amp; Germany, as they all have amazing places to visit. I recommend using a travel idea site, such as Fat Passport, which give ideas and advice from people who have traveled to the various places you are considering. Best of luck and enjoy the trip!Traveling to Europe after college and looking for advice/ideas?
