Road Trip Baby!!!?

Going on a road trip. All over America. What are some places to see. I know the obvious ones like White House, St. Louis Arch, NYC, Mt.Rushmore, but some unusual things???Road Trip Baby!!!?
The Chimney Tops in The Great Smokey Mountains near Gatlinburg, Tennessee are cool. Good camping and clean air. Best view of the stars at night east of Texas.



Philadelphia for a cheese steak sandwich and the Liberty Bell.



Cape Cod, Massachussetts for some crab and Summer fun (swimming/sailing). Huge alternative lifestyle festival (more rude t-shirts than you've seen in your life).



San Francisco California for the hills, music, and seafood.



Cincinnati, Ohio for Skyline Chili, then Fort Knox, Kentucky to be near one of the largest gold depositories in the world. You can just feel the money when you're nearby.



San Diego, California--best weather in the U.S.A.



Yellowstone Park, Wyoming--oldest National Park.



If you go to Mt. Rushmore, stop in Mitchell, South Dakota to see the Corn Palace.



Martin Luther King Museum and World of Coca Cola Museum in Atlanta Georgia.



Bavarian Haus Restaurant in Frankenmuth Michigan, Best Oktoberfest this side of Germany.



Another fun thing to do is grab a map and a pack of darts. This works as long as your money holds out.

Pt. Lobos State Park near Carmel, California is one of my favorite places to visit. Quiet, peaceful, glorious scenery! Take binoculars and hike out out to the rocks where the waves come crashing in, look for the sea lions on the outcroppings farther out in the ocean. Their loud barks will help you locate them. Use the binoculars to try to locate the sea otters in the kelp beds. They are so neat to watch. Watch them bring up abalone shells and then hold it on their chest and beat it with another shell to break open and get the meat out. Watch them play and snuggle and snooze. Carmel is a beautiful place to visit too. Check out the beach at sunset.
