I have left it very late to buy a rail pass for my Euro trip,
Is it possible to get a rail pass at a train station when I arrive in EuropeCan you purchase EuroRail/Interrail Train passes in Europe?
Jersey is part of the UK, therefore Europe.
Contact an organisation like USIT to find out what you can still do.
I am not entirely sure what the rules are these days, but in my day, a Eurrail pass HAD to be bought stateside. An Interrail pass could ONLY be bought in Europe. IF you were a European citizen, you HAD to buy your pass in your country of citizenship. If you were foreign, you could buy it anywhere, and the Interrail pass was only good for HALF off in the country of origin, so if you bought it in France, for instance, and began using it in France, you had to pay half for your tickets, then once you crossed the border, you paid nothing in the rest of Europe. So the smart thing to do was to fly into a smaller country, like Luxembourg, then only have to pay anything for a few miles.
But I'll bet the rules have changed. It's been a few years. Can you purchase EuroRail/Interrail Train passes in Europe?
