Why do right wingers think that liberals think government is the answer to all problems.?

Liberals also believe in capitalism, especially for commodities. Centralized planning by beurocrats will never work because there are too many decisions to be made by too few people.

Liberals understand that capitalism is a GOOD system, but it needs to be regulated by government.

You right wingers love the checks and balances system in our constitution. Well, government is a check on capitalism.

Also, government can also be a powerful tool for social advancement If we pool our money, we can create great things like the railroads, interstate highways, schools, Hoover Dam, the St. Louis Arch, the internet, etc.

Government is a tool. If it is used well it can be very useful. If it is abused, it can cause damage.

I'm really sick and tired of Republicans making blanket statements that the government sucks. Why do right wingers think that liberals think government is the answer to all problems.?
BECAUSE THEIR WORDS AND ACTIONS PROVE THAT
Liberals don't do anything to prove otherwise. The latest lunacy out of where else but San Fran-sicko is that some no good animal rights terrorists want to ban gold fish....GOLD FISH...as pets. They have managed to ban puppies and kittens as pets.

So tell us all in Y!A land how Liberals are not intrusive and not completely insane. Why do right wingers think that liberals think government is the answer to all problems.?
Simple.
Because step one in their solution to every problem is, "Government takes control of . . ."

Your rationalization smacks of that very sentiment.
Because they think it is and even believe the government can be used to change the culture and peoples behavior in their bedrooms.
Capitalism has become an ugly word that now refers to paying off cronies and always supporting the business side.

I believe in free markets.
Liberals think that the government should run everything.
Its called a strawman argument, and it makes life much easier.
Right-wingers recite whatever nonsense f0x spews shovels down their gaping holes.
Because Fox News tells them so.

What is really funny is that they are always saying they do not want big government and always seem to take an almost libertarian stance when it comes to what government should be allowed to do. They use catch phrases like "limited government". But, then they support concepts like banning gay marriage (and in some cases any equality rights) through government law, banning even the use of the word gay http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2011/ma鈥?/a> banning abortion, and basically banning anything they disagree with. The concept of less government is always about "freedom" and "liberty". But it is really about "freedom to do what we want and not free to do what you want".
It's called a straw man argument. They say "Why do liberals want government to solve all their problems?? Answer meee!!" and then when a liberal says "But sir, that's not what I support." the conservative says "No, I've heard that's what all of you support, so you have to answer for it!"

It basically makes any sort of productive discussion impossible, because they're inventing things for us to defend, even though liberals don't actually support them. Then, since liberals can't counter the argument, since they don't actually support that issue, then the Republicans win, because they scream and cry louder, so the ignorant masses think they're right.

It's a sad strategy, but it worked flawlessly in the 2010 midterms, and has worked quite well ever since the Carter/Reagan-era.
