I have a math problem that says "You're visiting the St. Louis Arch and you remember your teacher taught you how to find the zeros and the vertex of a parabola. You decide to use what you learned to determine the height (vertex) and zeros of the Arch. You ask the tour guide the equation of the arch and he tells you it's:( y= -0.00635x^2 + x + 630 in feet )
What is the highest point in the Arch? (This is the vertex, or where X=0)
What are the zeros of the Arch? (You will need to use the quadratic equation to find where Y=0)Parabola? Zeros? Quadratic Equation?
the maximum (vertex) is (78.7401, 669.37008)
zeros(x) = -245.93 and 403.413
Next time just use a graphing calculator
