Yes, it is stable. It sways slightly, but the base is extremely strong and much wider than the top.
Scary dream, though. Is the St.Louis Arch Stable?
I am looking at it from my office window now and it seems quite stable.
The Gateway Arch takes the form of a catenary curve, a very stable structure used in the construction of bridges, domes and arches. It was built to withstand high winds and earthquakes, and can sway up to 18 inches in 150 mph wind.
very stable.....
yes its quite stable ive been up in it before, and though it sways slightly in the wind, it is a very strong and sturdy structure
Its very strong and stable dont worry about it. the base is like 20 feet in the groundso it cant tip over. it might sway a little but it can't fall over.
That's a scary dream though
It IS stable, although it must be somewhat flexible or over time, winds would damage it.
